23/11/07 | small cartoons
We are starting an activity aimed at the youngsters. This involves the making of a short film using drawings and cut out figures and with the voices of the children themselves. The workshops will take place in Cambrils and Reus before the Festival, and will be presented in their finished form.
âPetits dibuixos animats (PDA) is a group of scriptwriters, illustrators and professional producers who organise short cartoon film workshops with children aged 7 to 12.
The aim of the workshop is to encourage creativity and exteriorise the emotions of the children through drawings and handicrafts. They thus show their dreams, ideas, and motivations and thus build up a story between all of them. They discover how to arrange this story through the creation of a storyboard, see how the world appears where the action takes place and finally how their characters come alive with animation and dubbing that they do themselves.
In the childrenâs workshop they have the chance to observe and learn different animation techniques, whether digital, through scanners and computers, or manually with the step-by-step technique of animation on mural backgrounds. Discovering the world of sound and dubbing, giving their own characters a voice and, most importantly, having fun doing what they most enjoy: inventing and drawing!â PDA.
